Designing and Construction of Security Systems at LenEnergo’s Substations of «Suburban Electric Networks» and «Gatchina Electric Networks» Branches

In December 2009 Erlang North-West finished works on designing and construction of security systems at LenEnergo’s branches «Suburban Electric Networks» and «Garchina Electric Networks»


 

Within the frames of the project held for six months video surveillance system and security alarm system were designed, mounted and put into operation at 57 objects of LenEnergo located both within the boundaries of St.-Petersburg and in Leningrad Region:

  • 7 transformer substations were equipped with system of CCTV with main purpose of operative video control of a protected zone;
   
  • 50 transformer substations were equipped with security alarm systems based on «C.Nord» equipment. Systems based on this equipment send the signal revealing condition of the systems at sites to the central security board and at the same time transferred to mobile groups that timely arrive at object for prevention of penetration attempts.
   

The total cost of works was 13 000 000 rubles.

The security systems established at the mentioned objects allow finding out and carrying out in due time counteraction to attempts of illegal intervention (including acts of terrorism) concerning power sites of LenEnergo and also allow to optimize number of the maintaining staff.
